I'M BACK FROM CAMP!
and yea in these 5 days i am absent i've been replaced by a toy lizard -_-''. jeslin and hui jun, both of you must really miss me right :) right sorry bhb. but in short, camp rocks, but my group
OCEANIA ROCKS EVEN MORE! although every night the teachers can only shower at 12 plus and sleep at 1 plus, it was fun heh. haha learned many things, made new friends, and yes i'm loving my God more and more.
day 1, 3rd december 2007its the teacher's pre-camp =) took a taxi with bro to church and reached there at 9am sharp heh. anyway christopher was supposed to give us our bible study first but he was late. got to know michelle for the first time during the time we were waiting for him while we played daidi heh. yep we broke into continents to bond too. the 5 continents are
africa,
europe,
america,
asia and
oceania which are further divided into 2 smaller groups each. so there are 10 groups and 5 continents.heh anyway the teachers in oceania are
jon tay, yvonne, samuel, jon pang, joyce, wayne, paul, michelle, esther, glenn, charis and me heh. anyway we all played a game called "honey, you know i love you, so wont you please give me a smile?". haha its damn funny i tell you. someone will go infront of you and say "honey, you know i love you, so wont you please give me a smile?" and then you cannot laugh or smile and say "honey you know i love you too, but i just cant give you a smile". omg its damn damn funny. everyone will do something damn funny to prevent themselves from laughing out loud haha. yep had lunch and went to the campsite. haha played a water game, had a prayer walk around the camp grounds, played captains ball after that and went to vivo for dinner. then back to the campsite for sermon. yep thats the first day :)
day 2, 4th december 2007the kids came! yea and i was part of the 'welcoming party', who is just a group of ppl screaming and shouting at the top of their voices to 'welcome' the kids. hahaa but i guess they just thought we were like banshees heh. taught the kids the
OCEANIA cheer!!! which goes like this.

physical games, which is like very tiring. it just requires the kids to run everywhere looking for locations with the picture clues they have, and when they reach there, they are required to do something, which usually is like 10 squats or jumping jacks this and that. and there are no game masters, so the leaders have to facilitate them. yea it was really tiring cos there are like 20 stations and in the end my group cheated cos we were very tired. and to make up for us cheating, we decided not to finish all the 20 stations so yea. shower time and dinner after that and then had service. learned a new song and the chorus goes like,
"CHOOEE CHOOEE CHOOE CHOEE OOM BA BA, AI IE IE IE IE-IE-IE" and it got stuck in all the teacher's head and we were all singing it throughout haha. the speaker was
pastor andrew. he was really great with the kids and he showed us the crucifixion of Christ from the 'Passion Of Christ'. and as you all know, 'The Passion Of Christ' is a very violent show, and its like NC 18 if i'm not wrong. even though pastor andrew cut alot of parts, the video still hit me like a tsunami wave i couldnt stop crying after i saw it. the pain and torture He went through was just not just of this world. had group fellowship after that and it was bedtime for the kids and meeting for the teachers.
day 3, 5th december 2007yep woke up at 7am. charis was damn funny. she was trying to wake me and michelle up, so she used my phone and played a song hoping it will irritate us and wake us up and you know what song she played? she played 'I Feel Like I'm Falling' which is a very slow and soothing song. haha damn funny. den she was like wondering why we arent waking up. den it took her awhile to realise the song she's playing is making us go back to sleep so she changed to one of the defualt tones in the phone. haha damn funny. had mind games in the afternoon. it was really fun. there was this game called "21 steps" and we have to find a route across without getting bombed. my group was competing with shuxin's group. man that game can give all the teachers a heart attack cos apparently the kids all very excited den anyhow walk and kanna bombed. haha very funny. in the end the two groups ended up helping each other. very funny. and after that games there was a heavy rain and the sheltered area which connected the hall and the dorms area got
flooded until our calf there. haha damn cool! everyone was like holding their shoes or slippers walking. haha.
day 4, 6 december 2007had The Journey which is actually a game which will allow us to know what missionaries have to go through before they are sent out into the mission field. we had 7 compulsory stations and it required very good time planning. it was very fun cos we had to do alot of bribing hahaa! all those corrupted people tsk tsk. learned and made up many dances and songs to make the gamemasters happy haha.

"beansprout dance" which is just swaying from the left to the right saying "we are beansprouts!" and going faster and faster and faster and ends with a "yeeaa"2)
"seaweed dance" which is like waving your arms like seaweeds in front of you, at your sides, upwards and downwards singing "seaweed ah seaweed" everytime heh.3) "the love song" which tune is "dang wo men dou zai yi qi" and lyrics are

game mastersgame masterswe love yougame masterswe really love youwe think you're very pretty/handsomeyou're pretty/handsomeyou're pretty/handsomewe think you're very pretty/handsomewe really think so!yep heh. we had to "take a plane", go through the "customs" which was very funny cos some of the senior teachers were acting as the person checking passports and they were amusingly fierce hahaa. we all had to think of funny excuses to bluff them so they can let us through. had "bag check" too! haha damn funny. those who were carrying bibles were all detained and there was this boy who was detained and he went like "police officer!! i'm a famous rock star and i need to go out and rock the house down!! let me out!!" damn it was super funny. hahaa. had an altar call during service where all the kids prayed for their teachers and i was really touched i couldnt stop crying. prayed for all my buddies and friends too and everyone was hugging each other. it really was a very touching night. had camp fire after that whoo! heh it was damn fun and all the continents had to present an item.
OCEANIA did a rap and me and joshua (a kid in oceania) used a dustbin to make the beat. it was really fun.
OCEANIA won the most UNITED prize!! heh and the camp committee danced the penguin dance for us and its damn techno heh. it goes like this.

haha a lot of varieties eh hehe. campfire ended at 12am and the teachers had a meeting at 12.30 plus, i was so tired i went to take a nap while waiting for the meeting and you know what happened? i fell asleep and when i woke, i realised i was late for meeting and ran down and while i was running i fell straight flat on the ground and kinda slide loh. and now my knee has this burn mark because of the friction. slept at 3am plus cos we were all busy writing cards for our kids heh.
day 5, 7th december 2007thanksgiving! went back to church in the morning. had our last group reflection time and took a group picture and had a group hug hehe. thanksgiving rehearsal all the way den it was thanksgiving haha. after thanksgiving we all went high hahaha. it was fun hehe. went home and slept hehe. i'm starting to miss camp and all my friends le. =) oceania rocks! woohoo! there are a lot more pictures heh. i will post them when i get them hehe.
